Year in review: The imaginative journey of discovery of Web3
As 2022 winds down, I reflect on how much I have learned this past year. In January, terms such as NFT and Web3 were brand new to me. It is amazing how much I have learned over this past year.
That fateful podcast from Social Media Examiner spurred my curiosity, and I began uncovering, questioning, and experimenting with as much information as possible.
Since January, I have made many new contacts (my LinkedIn profile has increased from less than 20 views to nearly 300) and joined several communities (at 24, it became too much). I also conducted Zoom and in-person meetings (6-10 each week) and explored new Web3 platforms (too numerous to count). These conversations and connections have helped me tremendously and spurred my enthusiasm to dig in further.
By mid-year, I decided to write a weekly article discussing the basics of Web3 and its use cases. I write them for content creators and small business owners. I understand how complicated this subject can be, and I hope that my writing makes it easier to comprehend and, perhaps soon, apply to their own business.
Here is a recap of my writing and links to the articles on various topics.

It all began with a podcast, a long stretch of roadway, and a bit of FOMO to get my mind in flow about Web3, social tokens, and blockchain technology.

Creative Use Cases
Throughout the year, I played a game with myself to figure out how to take a standard Web2 concept and see how to “NFT it .”I had fun writing about Mrs. Frankenstan and Santa.
Writing in 2023
As I look to the New Year and write about Web3, I want to discuss what this technology will do for content creators and business owners and how to incorporate it as a powerful marketing tool.
As I am reminded almost daily, we are very early and will continue to build, test, break, and try again. But we are ready for the challenge as early adopters, futurists, and enthusiasts.
